How WyseNote handles your information. Last updated 2026.

Your notes stay on your device

WyseNote stores all notebooks, notes, and sources locally on your device by default. Nothing is uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud sync or backup. When you use local models via Ollama, your data never leaves your machine.

What we collect

When you create an account or purchase a plan, we collect the details you provide — name, email, and payment information — to deliver and support the service. The app may send anonymous, aggregate usage analytics to help us improve; this can be disabled in settings.

Cloud providers

If you connect cloud model providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.), your queries are sent to those providers under their privacy terms. We do not store or relay those queries. Using local models avoids any external data transfer.

Sync & collaboration

Multi-device sync uses WebRTC (peer-to-peer) by default — data flows directly between your devices without passing through our servers. Optional cloud backup stores encrypted data on your chosen provider.

Your rights

You can export all your data at any time. You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal data we hold about you. Contact us and we'll respond promptly.
